The Division of Colon & Rectal Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center provides clinical coverage at Parkland Hospital, Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and UT Southwestern University Hospitals (William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital and Zale Lipshy Pavilion).

Colon & Rectal Surgery

Our colon and rectal surgery program is committed to the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders of the colon, rectum, and anus. In conjunction with Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, we train one resident each year in an ACGME-approved program.

UT Southwestern is committed to expanding the range of services offered to patients with colorectal disorders. UT Southwestern allows our patients access to comprehensive programs including multimodality therapy for cancer, genetic counseling, and testing for hereditary colorectal cancer.

UT Southwestern Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery

The UT Southwestern Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery (SCMIS) is a multispecialty center accredited by American College of Surgeons (ACS) as a Level I Comprehensive Education Institute (AEI). The primary focus of the center is to provide basic and advanced surgical skills training including robotic and team training for residents, students, community surgeons, UT Southwestern faculty, and staff.
