The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Geriatric Medicine, is seeking applications for a Geriatrician. Applicants must have an M.D. degree or equivalent from an approved LCME medical school and satisfactory completion of a Geriatrics Fellowship from an ACGME-accredited program. Candidates must be eligible for Texas medical licensure and be board certified in Internal Medicine. Level of appointment will be commensurate with applicable experience. The appointment requires a track record of demonstrated excellence as a clinician and educator. Duties include providing inpatient consults at University Hospitals, attend on the Eisenberg Geriatrics inpatient service at CUH, and provide perioperative assessments as a part of the Perioperative Optimization of Senior Health (POSH) sessions at our outpatient clinic. This faculty member will serve as a preceptor and provide training to fellows, residents and medical students.
