Section Head, Critical Care Cardiology

Interventional Cardiologist (Dallas)

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or foreign equivalent

Interventional Cardiologist (Frisco)

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, ranked No. 14 in the United States, the No. 1 hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and the No. 2 hospital in Texas for Cardiology and Heart Surgery by U.S. News and World Report, is seeking an outstanding Interventional Cardiologist to work full time in our Regional Satellite center in Frisco. Responsibilities would include ambulatory cardiology, performing cardiac catheterizations including PCI and participation in STEMI call in the adjacent Texas Health Frisco hospital, as well as providing inpatient consultative services in that facility. Ambulatory cardiology would comprise a minimum of 50% of your effort. Candidate will be superior in all aspects of Cardiology. Instructor - Medicinal Chemist

The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology, seeks an Instructor with demonstrated potential to conduct studies on modifying FDA-approved drugs to induce myocardial regeneration through cardiomyocyte proliferation. These studies will also include in vitro and in vivo assays and pharmacokinetic studies. Candidates should hold an MD, PhD, or MD/PhD degree with expertise in pharmaceutical sciences and will perform medicinal chemistry studies related to identifying new molecules that correct mutant sarcomeric protein structures. Successful candidates will demonstrate objective evidence of productivity in terms of first-author publications. Excellent leadership and communication skills are required to function as part of a collaborative research team as well as the candidate’s independent research program. The position will also have medical student, graduate student, and/or fellow teaching responsibilities.

Vascular Medicine Physician
