Kenji Okumura, M.D.
Kenji Okumura, MD completed a two-year fellowship in Abdominal Transplant Surgery at UT Southwestern, where he specialized in liver and kidney transplantation.
He is an attending surgeon at Westchester Medical Center Health Network in Valhalla, New York.

Alpin D. Malkan, M.D.
Alpin D. Malkan, MD completed a one-year fellowship in Abdominal Transplant Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2020, following his pediatric surgery fellowship.
He is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and serves as Associate Trauma Medical Director at Texas Children’s Hospital.

Jorge Sánchez-Vivaldi, M.D.
Jorge Sánchez-Vivaldi, MD, completed a two-year fellowship in Abdominal Transplant Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center from 2021 to 2023, following his general surgery training at Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico.
He is currently a multi-organ abdominal transplant surgeon at the University of Puerto Rico.

Kayla Colvill, M.D.
Kayla Colvill, MD, completed a two-year fellowship in Abdominal Transplant Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center from 2022 to 2024 after finishing her general surgery residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
She now serves on faculty at Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth, where she continues her practice in abdominal transplantation.

Meshka Anderson, M.D.
Meshka Anderson, MD, completed a two-year fellowship in Abdominal Transplant Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center from 2023 to 2025. He previously trained in general surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
He now serves on faculty at Eastern Carolinas University Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina.

Andrew Shubin, M.D., Ph.D.
Andrew Shubin, MD, PhD, completed a two-year fellowship in Abdominal Transplant Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center from 2023 to 2025, where he also completed his general surgery residency in 2023. His research interests include normothermic machine perfusion in liver transplantation and transplant oncology, and his work was recognized with the Trinkle-Banowsky Abstract Award from the Texas Transplant Society in 2022.
