Resident Research Opportunities

The Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery Residency Program provides exceptional research opportunities. Residents benefit from the extensive expertise of the faculty, who have led both basic science and clinical research efforts.

Residents participate in mentored research throughout their training, with a dedicated research block in the PGY-4 year. During this period, residents may pursue projects aligned with their individual interests or collaborate on faculty initiatives. All residents with an interest in research are encouraged to engage in projects that go beyond the program's minimum requirements.

Residents are encouraged to choose mentors with guidance from the residency program and research directors, make use of the full spectrum of research resource including laboratories and outcomes-based research programs, and present their work at local, regional, and national meetings.
