Stembridge, M.D., in recognition of his dedication and commitment to excellence in house staff teaching. Dr. Stembridge was the Pathology Chair from 1967 until 1988. Qing Zhang Awarded DoD Grant Published on: May 16, 2025 Dr. Qing Zhang , has been awarded a four-year Department of Defense (DoD) Kidney Cancer Research Program (KCRP) Idea Development Award, for a total direct cost of $1.2 million. The project, in partnership with Dr. Jiyang Yu of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, will focus on identifying and validating novel "hidden drivers" in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), the most common type of kidney cancer.
