The research in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center is focused on improving health outcomes through a variety of research projects focusing on the following areas:

Health disparities
Violence and trauma
Management of chronic illness
Family-based interventions
Integrated behavioral health
HIV prevention and intervention
Chronic pain

Our team consists of researchers from a range of disciplines who collaborate on projects that include a variety of research methodologies.
