Robert W. Parkey, M.D., retired in 2010 as Chair of UT Southwestern Medical Center's Department of Radiology after 40 years of distinguished service. Dr. Parkey is held in the highest regard by our faculty, his patients, and by the thousands of students and residents he has taught throughout the years. He is a man we admire not only for his many professional talents, but also for his integrity, sense of humor, and deep compassion for others.

In 2016, the 60th anniversary of the Department, Rathan Subramaniam, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., became the inaugural holder of the position. Dr. Subramaniam currently serves as Professor of Radiology and Chair of Nuclear Medicine.
