Register to park on campus in fiscal year 2022

Parking registration for fiscal year 2022 (which begins on Sept. 1, 2021) opened Monday, Aug. 23. There is no increase in parking fees for FY2022.

With the implementation of virtual permits, Parking Services will continue to have auto-renewable permits for those who pay via payroll deduction. If you have a 2021 permit, you will not need to renew your parking permit and no other action is required. You may cancel your parking if you no longer drive a vehicle to campus.

  • If you’re not currently on payroll deduction, you can convert to payroll deduction during registration to take advantage of auto-renewable permits in the future.
  • If you pay via, check, credit, or debit card, you need to log onto the Parking Services portal to purchase your FY22 permit. If you do not remit payment, your parking will not be renewed. Follow the first time registration instructions below to purchase your permit

Interdepartmental requests

Once the FY22 budget is fully loaded, you may submit interdepartmental requests (IDR) to Parking Services using PeopleSoft beginning on Sept. 1. Faculty IDRs for FY22 will not be accepted prior to Sept. 1. Refer to the Administrative Resources webpage for details.

First time parking registration

If this your first time registering, you can do so online:

  1. Go to Parking Services
  2. Click “Permits – View or Purchase”
  3. Enter your UT Southwestern ID and password (the same credentials used to access your UTSW email account)

If you are unable to register online, you can get a parking application from our Parking Services offices (check the hours of operation):

  • South Campus: Visitors Information Center (A Building) located on the Seldin Plaza
  • CUH: Orange Tower, Second Floor, Room 02.746

Once you register, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your virtual permit number. Each permit type has specific places you can park.

Making changes

If you wish to change your parking level (garage, lot, faculty, etc.), visit the Parking Services website to review your options.

Carpooling

We offer a carpooling option with reduced costs for our employees and students. For locations and additional carpooling information, visit the Parking Services website.

North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) TollTag

To provide a more convenient, alternate method of accessing parking garages and lots, North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) TollTag readers at the entrances of the parking facilities across campus will raise their gate arms if you register your TollTag for parking on campus. Using your TollTag on campus does not deduct any fees from your account balance.

To use your TollTag on campus, complete the FY22 TollTag Registration form. If you currently have more than one vehicle registered with Parking Services, please provide the TollTag number for your primary vehicle, as the system only supports one TollTag number per registrant.

Parking Services is an authorized distributor of NTTA TollTags. You can go to either of our Parking Services offices in person to get a TollTag.

Participation in this program is voluntary. You may continue to use your employee badge with the existing card readers, regardless of TollTag program participation.
