2021 performance appraisal process is underway

The FY21 performance appraisal process kicks off today! The annual appraisal is an opportunity for employees and their managers to review this year’s accomplishments, celebrate success, set clear goals for the future, and plan for career and professional development. All eligible employees are required to have an annual evaluation per the UT System Board of Regents.

Performance evaluation templates are available in iPerform. We encourage you to attend a training (see below), as iPerform has been upgraded with new features.

  • Eligible employees hired on or before March 1, 2021, must undergo a performance review for their work from May 1, 2020, through April 30, 2021, to be eligible for a merit increase.
  • Self-appraisals are optional and highly encouraged. We suggest you complete them by May 7 to allow time for manager review. Please confirm specific department due dates with your manager.
  • Manager appraisal ratings are due in iPerform by May 31.
    • To support our pay-for-performance culture, appraisal ratings feed directly into the merit tool to facilitate merit planning.
    • The iPerform tool will remain open to accommodate edits and additional comments throughout the performance discussion cycle, which ends Aug. 31.
    • Completed and acknowledged appraisals are due Aug. 31.

(Patient care employees: This year, the peer feedback process will happen in the fall to facilitate development planning. Additional communications and training are coming soon.)
