Which model of yourself are you driving?

Model

[mod-l]

  1. a standard or example for imitation or comparison
  2. A style or design of a particular product

Typically, auto manufacturers advertise their new models every autumn. As falling leaves become falling snowflakes, television and radio commercials are littered with "newest," "latest," and "best" versions of the very models we were told were the end-all, be-all versions of the prior year. And yet both advertising campaigns are correct. Last year’s models were indeed the best models – the apex of manufacturing and design – until the auto manufacturers went back to the drawing board, reimagined what they thought was perfection, and developed the current year’s models. Which begs the question: Are you still driving the 2018 model of yourself?

The books, videos, and online courses linked within the car dashboard below are some of the many available options to assist you in becoming the best version of yourself. You are encouraged to not only access these (and other) resources, but take the advice, tools, and/or tips out for a spin. Get in the driver’s seat of your own development. Shift your professional transformation into gear.

As 2018 begins to fade into memory and 2019 speeds onto the horizon, which road will you travel? The one that allows you to remain idle, or the one that asks you to put our organization’s values (excellence, innovation, teamwork, and compassion) into full throttle? The one that relies on the newest, latest and best model of yourself?
