CUH construction to impact kitchen and main dining areas

As part of the overall expansion project of Clements University Hospital (CUH), the kitchen and dining areas will be enlarged and renovated in three phases, touching nearly every area in CUH Dining. The first phase is scheduled to begin on March 25.

Employees who visit CUH during this time will notice some loss of seating a few days prior, when temporary walls go up, resulting in a smaller footprint for the dining area, particularly on the north end. All employees are instructed to heed all construction signs as the work proceeds. The third phase is expected to be complete in September of this year.

Since seating will become limited, please be especially mindful of the needs of guests. There may be times that you will need to purchase food and take it back to staff lounges to enjoy to ensure that there is enough room for our visitors.

Team members from Nutrition Services will deploy food carts throughout the project, bringing items to work areas to help alleviate some of the inconvenience involved in the Dining expansion.
