Celebrate the first ever Apheresis Awareness Day

The American Society for Apheresis (ASFA) recently announced that Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019 will be celebrated as Apheresis Awareness Day and henceforth annually on the third Tuesday of September.

The purpose of Apheresis Awareness Day is to raise awareness of apheresis medicine and honor the many donors, patients, and apheresis practitioners that have dedicated their lives to saving others by using evidence based practice to advance apheresis medicine.

As you wear your ribbon, celebrate this day as we raise awareness of apheresis medicine. Through patients, donors and practitioners evidence-based practice, research and advocacy we are improving the lives of many.

Celebrate the day at the Apheresis Awareness Day Blood Drive at Zale Lipshy Pavillion – William P. Clements University Hospital, where you can also get your Apheresis swag bag and spin the wheel for a chance to win a prize.
