Mission Statement
Our mission is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and advance research in the dynamic field of host-microbe interactions. This group aims to unite faculty irrespective of department affiliation to reinforce the importance of integrated approaches in understanding how microorganisms influence human health. We're committed to enhancing research infrastructure by improving microbial sequencing and immune phenotyping facilities, and establishing a biorepository for clinical and microbial samples. Our initiatives also include running a comprehensive seminar series and a campus-wide symposium to help bridge the chasm between basic and clinical research teams, which will ultimately position UT Southwestern as a leader in this crucial area of public health and medicine.
Please join us in this exciting venture to explore and unravel the complexities of host-microbe relationships!
