Vice President for Health System Research
Dr. Peterson oversees UT Southwestern’s growing clinical research enterprise, focusing on collaboration, and harnessing the collective resources of UT Southwestern Medical School, the newly established Peter O’Donnell Jr. School of Public Health, UT Southwestern hospitals and ambulatory facilities, and affiliates such as Parkland, Children’s Health, and Texas Health Resources.

Dr. Pappu serves as the Associate Vice President for Clinical Research Services. In this role, he facilitates clinical research in all disciplines of medicine across UT Southwestern and affiliated institutions by providing strategic, operational, and financial oversight of clinical research programs, facilities, research information systems, and human resources.

Dr. Spong serves as Associate Dean of Clinical Research, where she fosters research leadership and advances the translation of evidence into clinical practice. Her experience and vision will help elevate UT Southwestern as a national hub for clinical research.

Associate Dean, Translational Science in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences
Dr. Toto is the Director of the Center for Translational Medicine and oversees its administrative core. The goal of the UTSW CTSA is to advance the science of research translation, engage patients and the North Texas area, and provide tools, methods, and best practices to improve the health of the communities we serve.
Associate Dean for Health Informatics
As associate Dean for Health Informatics, Dr. Chapman provides strategic leadership of translational health informatics and learning health system research. She supports investigators in better leveraging data and technology to improve health and health care delivery. She is also invested in giving our students the knowledge needed to thrive in today's health care environment.
