UTSW COVID-19 model predicts surge in advance of Fourth of July holiday

DALLAS – June 22, 2020 – Revised DFW model shows a dramatic spike in DFW hospitalizations related to COVID, predicting a potential 20% surge over the next two weeks along with growth in the number of additional infections caused by each infected person, which means infections will continue to grow.

UTSW experts made a public plea to wear masks and minimize exposure as businesses return to normal during a June 22 press conference.
