Pharmacy Intern Program

Program Description and Goals

The UT Southwestern Medical Center Pharmacy Department is excited to announce the UTSW Acute Care Pharmacy Intern Program (PIP). The PIP will serve as an opportunity to enhance pharmacy students’ knowledge and skills in a variety of operational experiences including IV sterile compounding, central pharmacy operations, medication reconciliation, medication counseling, pharmacokinetics and more.

Interns will rotate through experiences, broadening their clinical capabilities as they progress throughout the program. They will have opportunities to work on projects with the goal of presenting at a local/national meeting.
