Residents elect new leaders for 2019

Physicians in the Radiology Residency training program have selected Dr. Christopher Ball and Dr. Jesse Conyers to serve as Chief Residents, Dr. Lee Morris III to serve as Junior Chief Resident, and Dr. Joseph Cao to serve as Interventional Radiology Chief Resident through March 2020. Each of them have distinguished themselves as teachers and role models, with strong educational and administrative skills.

Dr. Ball is a native of Itasca, Texas. He received his bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in Waco, and then attended medical school at UT Southwestern. During his free time, he enjoys reading, traveling, and sports.

Dr. Conyers is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, and received her bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem. She then obtained her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She previously served as Junior Chief Resident. Her clinical interests include breast imaging. During her free time, Dr. Conyers enjoys exercising, running, and hosting social events.

Originally from Orlando, Florida, Dr. Morris received his bachelor's degree from Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina, before obtaining his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. A self-professed foodie, Dr. Morris lifts weights and listens to music during his free time.

Dr. Cao is a native of Charleston, South Carolina. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and then completed his medical degree at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. He enjoys long walks along the beach and pumpkin-spiced latte.
