Program Mission
Our program is driven by a clear mission – to promote high-quality health care and foster excellence in graduate medical education through collaboration, inclusion, innovation, and scholarship.
We are committed to equipping our residents with a comprehensive clinical curriculum that covers the full breadth of obstetrics and gynecology, ensuring they gain the necessary experience to manage a wide range of disorders.
By the end of their residency, our trainees are exceptionally prepared for their next step, whether it be independent practice or pursuing a fellowship.
Program Culture
Our residents are a remarkable and diverse group united by their dedication to the underserved women of Dallas County. Hard work, teamwork, and relationships with each other and our patients are fundamental to our approach.
In addition to their commitment to patient care, our residents enjoy spending time together both during work and in their free time. From ice cream parties on the Labor & Delivery ward to celebrating important life events, we are a tight-knit family.

We believe that the diversity of our patient population should be reflected in the physicians who care for them. Every day, we strive to provide high-quality, evidence-based care that is accessible and equitable to all who seek our services.
Furthermore, we are dedicated to supporting our trainees who come from underrepresented minority groups in medicine. Through UT Southwestern organizations such as the Minority Housestaff Association and the Housestaff Emerging Academy of Leaders (HEAL) for Underrepresented Groups, our residents have access to valuable resources encompassing professional development, mentorship, and a supportive community focused on their well-being.
