Didactics
- Tuesday Didactics: Every Tuesday afternoon, residents attend conferences where experts from various fields deliver lectures to residents on high-yield concepts in Family Medicine. Lunch is provided at these conferences. Conference format varies from traditional didactic lectures to interactive Kahoot or case-based review sessions. All lectures are recorded and archived for future reference.
- Simulation Training: Held once a month in the SIM Center, residents practice team-based learning with high fidelity equipment for common inpatient cases and skills sessions such as procedural or POCUS training.
- Morning Report: Interesting cases seen in the Family Medicine outpatient clinics are discussed monthly with a focus on different diagnosis, clinical reasoning, and patient management.
- Family Medicine Grand Rounds: Sponsored by the Department of Family and Community Medicine, this monthly lecture series features both internal and visiting experts, who address a broad range of topics.
- Radiology Rounds: Interesting cases seen in the Family Medicine inpatient service are discussed weekly with a focus on correlating imaging findings.
