UT Southwestern Women's Health Research Initiative

UT Southwestern scientists and clinicians, including faculty, postdocs, fellows, staff, residents and students, are encouraged to submit an abstract on any topic in women's health research (1 abstract submission per presenter) for presenting a 10-minute talk or a poster.

Pease complete the abstract submission form on or before February 14, 2025.

Abstracts should be no longer than 400 words and submitted online as a Word document or PDF. Title and authors' names are not included in the word count. Abstracts that have been submitted to other events (e.g., WISMAC poster session), may also be submitted to this event. The organizing committee will inform submitters whether their abstract has been selected for a talk or a poster presentation by March 14.

The Altshuler Center for Education and Research (ACER) conducts research and supports research conducted by community partners engaged with Metrocare's client population. ACER recognizes the importance of learning from peers and sharing new research discoveries in the field. The research that faculty and students engage in is vital to transforming healthcare. In an effort to bring our communities together, ACER announces its inaugural Research Symposium. ACER invites researchers of all backgrounds and levels of experience to submit an abstract; proposals will be accepted until March 2, 2025.

Autism Research Program Anticipated Funding for FY25

The FY25 Defense Appropriations Act is anticipated to provide funding for the Autism Research Program to support research of exceptional scientific merit and innovation with high impact that focuses on autism. A pre-application is required and must be submitted through the electronic Biomedical Research Application Portal (eBRAP) prior to the pre-application deadline. All applications must conform to the final funding opportunity announcements that will be available for downloading from the US grants website. Submission deadlines are not available until the funding opportunity announcements are released.
