Annual Wellness Symposium
Since 2019, the Office of Faculty Wellness has hosted an annual Wellness Symposium that highlights the importance of personal, professional, and institutional wellbeing. For 2022, the symposium will now be Wellness Week May 16-20th, 2022, centering on the theme of "From Surviving to Thriving."
Monthly Lunchtime with Epic Hackers
Join our Epic experts virtually on the latest Epic “hacks” surrounding hot topics like telehealth and virtual visits.
Weekly Faculty Lounge
The Faculty Lounge is a weekly virtual lunch with other faculty and special guest faculty to share their experience at UT Southwestern.
Weekly Mindfulness Event
Spend 45 minutes in a guided mindfulness meditation practice led by Catherine Vega.
Mindfulness Program for Faculty Physicians
Option 1: Online introduction to mindfulness and burnout prevention (1-hour duration)
Option 2: The Mindfulness & Burnout Prevention Program, a four-week training module, provides:
- A description of burnout, factors, and tendencies leading to it
- An explanation of the mindfulness concept and how it improves resistance to burnout
- Training in meditation techniques, for the explicit purpose of acquiring personal skills at mindfulness meditation and burnout prevention
