Thank you for considering UT Southwestern's Neurological Physical Therapy Residency Program. The UTSW CVP Physical Therapy Residency Program accepts one or two residents each year based upon both the application and a personal interview. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Emma Parks received the William F. and Grace H. Kirkpatrick Award for her research involving nanoparticle-mediated cancer immunology.

Uttam Tambar, Ph.D., Professor of Biochemistry, and Melanie Rodriguez, Ph.D., a postdoctoral researcher in his lab, were brainstorming better ways to develop drugs. Their strategy, which turns conventional methods upside down, earned Dr. Tambar the 2026 Haberecht Wildhare-Idea Research Grant.

Sensational Success: This new robot-assisted breast cancer surgery can preserve a woman’s breast and nipple sensation – something unimaginable just five years ago. The single-port robot makes it possible to maneuver the camera like a cobra, snaking and swiveling for a more encompassing view in a smaller space, which was ideal for the robotic nipple-sparing mastectomy procedure.

Pediatric anesthesiologist Aditee Ambardekar, M.D., recognized with a Piper Professor Award.
