Growing up in a family of scientists, Dr. Conaway was inspired early on by the thrill of discovery and the idea that women could pursue anything they dreamed of. Together with her husband and research partner, Ron, she built a career marked by groundbreaking discoveries, deep collaboration, and a lab that became like family. Today at UT Southwestern, she continues to shape the future of science – not just through her own research, but by championing and supporting the work of others.
