Rolando Garcia

Rolando García, PhD, FACMG is board-certified in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG).  He completed his fellowship training in Clinical Genetics and Genomics at UT Southwestern before joining the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Pathology, where he assumed responsibilities in cytogenetics, microarray and next generation sequencing (NGS).  Dr. Garcia is a fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG). His research interests include clinical genetics and genomics, hematolymphoid neoplasms, with multiple published studies in these areas. His current work focuses on developing novel marker panels integrated with computational analysis to improve diagnosis, prognostic profiling of myeloid and lymphoid disorders, and identification of therapeutic targets.
