Dr. Yancey once referred to Nina as “unflappable” and her team would agree with that assessment. Starting with the department just as COVID hit, her calm demeanor has served her well in her role as CSA Supervisor during these tumultuous times.

Nina is a Dallas native but being a Navy wife, she has also lived in Virginia Beach and Corpus Cristi. She returned to Dallas in 2010 and began working at UTSW in Ob/Gyn and Oral Surgery. Nina describes herself as easygoing, and CSA Coordinator, Carmen Gonzales, describes her as “a positive person that always has a smile on her face and shows compassion toward her staff.”

When she’s not at the soccer field watching her son play, she enjoys reading and watching Law & Order SVU. Although I don’t know that those around her would agree, Nina says she’s actually a pretty shy person. One thing we do know, is that she knows how to take a joke, and has become a target for clinic pranks and hi jinx.

Right now Nina is busy being a wife and mother to her three children, but someday she would love to visit Madrid. If only she didn’t have that fear of flying. You also won’t find Nina on any rollercoasters or in the ocean. However, you will find her busily managing the front clinic operations and all with a smile.
