  • If you could time travel, what advice would you give your younger self? Finish nursing school.
  • Do you have a motto that you live by? If so, what is it? I’ll sleep when I die.

  • Where are you originally from? Dallas, TX
  • What is your favorite thing about Texas? The food.
  • What is your favorite food? Posole and fajitas.
  • What is your favorite color? Yellow and lilac.
  • Do you have any hobbies? Eating
  • If you could time travel, what advice would you give your younger self? Pay attention in school and do school activities.
  • Do you have a motto that you live by? If so, what is it? The rain will pass. Keep your head up and look for the rainbow.
  • Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself? I have a beautiful soon to be 5-year old who is my entire world.

 We also welcome Dong-Min Yu, Ph.D. who is a new Postdoctoral Researcher in the Wang lab. He started at UTSW on 9/1/2020 moving from a previous role as a Research Professor at Korea University.

  • What do you miss most about your home? Friends
  • How long have you lived in Texas? 5 months
  • What is your favorite thing about Texas? Everything is new and interesting because it is my first time living in a foreign country.
  • What is your favorite food? Grilled pork belly (Koreans call it samgyeopsal and it is a popular food in Korea.)
  • Do you have any hobbies? Watching movies or dramas
  • What is your favorite color? Navy
  • If you could time travel, what advice would you give to your younger self?  Whatever it is, experience a lot.
  • Do you have a motto that you live by?  If so, what is it? Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-19).
