About the Diabetic Limb Salvage and Wound Healing Fellowship

Program recruiting for 2026-2027 academic year

The Diabetic Limb Salvage and Wound Healing Fellowship offers immersive, patient centered training in the medical and surgical management of the diabetic foot, complex wounds, and threatened lower extremities. Fellows rotate at Parkland Health and at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, caring for a high acuity, diverse patient population under the mentorship of internationally recognized faculty.

Who Should Apply

We welcome inquiries from podiatrists seeking advanced subspecialty training in diabetic limb salvage and complex wound healing. Candidates from this and prior application cycles are encouraged to reach out.

Eligibility

  • Completion of a CPME approved podiatric medicine and surgery residency by the start date, or expected completion by that date
  • Current full Texas DPM license, or eligibility to obtain one
