- Senior Research Faculty
Senior Research FacultyLocation: Dallas, TX 
 Job Number: 90477The Department of Family and Community Medicine is developing a strong research core to support innovative research on primary care and community and population health. - Qualifications: Doctorate degree (Ph.D., M.D., D.P.H., or other similar degree) in social science, behavioral health, social work, public health, health services research, or a related field. Experience in academia/institution of higher learning, preferably academic medicine required. Expertise in one of the following research areas: health disparities, HIV, cancer and cardio-metabolic disorders, chronic pain, cancer, behavior health, or trauma. Experience in team science and leading small group research projects is desirable.
- Experience: Must have a strong track record of funded research and high-quality publications; excellent grant writing skills; and the ability to collaborate with other researchers and clinical faculty. The ability to bring extramural funding to UTSW is a plus.
- Duties: Write and secure extramural research grants, particularly NIH and other federal funding, to support research activities; mentor faculty and trainees on research and manuscripts; and assist with building collaborations with other departments, institutions, and community partners.
