Whole Genome Samples are run with the Genomic Tape on the Agilent Tapestation 4200 and their concentrations quantified by fluorometery. One microgram genomic DNA is sonicated using Covaris E220 ultrasonicator targeting 400bp. Libraries are prepared with the KAPA Hyper Prep Kit. Samples are end repaired, 3' ends adenylated and barcoded with multiplex adapters. Samples are size selected prior to PCR to remove small fragments. Mate-Paired - Next Generation Sequencing Core - UT Southwestern, Dallas, Texas

Mate-Paired Samples are run on a 1.2% agarose gel and their concentrations quantified by fluorometry. Four µg of genomic DNA are processed using the Nextera Mate Pair Sample Preparation Kit from Illumina. Specifically, the Gel-Plus pathway is followed. Samples are first tagmented then subjected to strand displacement, purified with Ampure XP beads and subsequently size selected on .6% megabase agarose gel. Price List Analyses are charged per sample submitted. Any gel band or slice must be 1 cm or less of the gel, and must be diced into ~1mm cubes. Gel slices that are not diced or that are minced too fine may be sent back. We charge for all samples , whether or not a result is obtained. The only exception is where failure is due to processing or instrumentation problems in the core. Please see our charging policy for details .
