Skip to main content Our Research Social Disconnectedness and Cognitive Health in Aging Our work examines how loneliness and social isolation impact brain health among older adults. Dr. Yu has developed and tested behavioral interventions, ranging from group-based programs to one-on-one conversational support, that foster meaningful connection and cognitive engagement. Her work demonstrates that increasing social interaction can help slow cognitive decline and improve quality of life in aging

Mechanisms of circuit dysfunction in mouse autism models and the role of synaptic scaffolding proteins | Huber Lab | UT Southwestern, Dallas, Texas
https://labs.utsouthwestern.edu/huber-lab/research/mechanisms-circuit-dysfunction-mouse-autism-models-and-role-synaptic-scaffolding
In addition to our work on mechanisms of FMRP function at synapses, we have also contributed to the understanding of circuit dysfunction in Fragile X Syndrome, with a goal to reveal mechanisms of FMRP function in the brain, but also to identify therapeutic targets to correct and restore circuit
