Pediatric Education Program Annual Report 1 Pediatric Education Program Annual Report The UT Southwestern Department of Pediatrics seeks to advance the so-called triple-threat model of academic medicine, involving 1) discovery research, 2) scientifically based clinical care delivery, and 3) intellectually rigorous education of medical doctors (M.D.s), such that all of our trainees become physicians who are critical thinkers. Our Department has pursued these ends by
