Going beyond academic programming, the School of Health Professions offers additional training opportunities for individuals at various skill levels.

The Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Physical Therapy Residency Program occurs over a 12-month employment period beginning the first Monday in August. The structure includes approximately 28 hours of clinical service per week at Clements University Hospital under the supervision of clinical mentors with an additional four hours reserved for collaborative patient care with a member of the residency faculty. Additionally, formal didactic content is delivered both via self-paced online training as well as through instructor led classroom training.

Our Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program is ideal for licensed physical therapists who are motivated to achieve a higher level of training and expertise.

Camp John Marc, a camping experience for chronically ill and disabled children and their families, is an outreach program for the School of Health Professions.

UTSW's Prosthetics-Orthotics Program has designed the lectures and exercises of the Review Course to be self-paced and easily completed in a few sessions.

Thank you for considering UT Southwestern's Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Physical Therapy Residency Program. The UTSW CVP Physical Therapy Residency Program accepts one or two residents each year based upon both the application and a personal interview. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

If you are accepted to the Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Physical Therapy Residency Program you will be considered a full-time employee of UT Southwestern for a 1-year contract and receive a salary commensurate with all first year residents.

The Department of Physical Therapy offers a one-year Neurological Physical Therapy Residency Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
