Skip to main content Developing Neural Stem Cells and Pediatric Brain Tumors Pediatric low-grade gliomas (pLGGs) are the most common brain tumors in children, but rarely occur in adulthood. Genetically, pLGGs are a single molecular disease universally driven by abnormal activation of the RAS-RAF-MEK-…

Our mission is to advance biomedical knowledge in Multiple Sclerosis and support investigators in Neurology using best practices and comprehensive biostatistics expertise.
Translational Neuroimaging Lab | UT Southwestern, Dallas, Texas
https://labs.utsouthwestern.edu/translational-neuroimaging-lab
The Rosa-Neto Lab studies the structural changes that occur in the brain as a result of neurodegenerative disease, such as Alzheimer’s disease.
Precision Molecular Imaging Coalition | UT Southwestern, Dallas, Texas
https://labs.utsouthwestern.edu/precision-molecular-imaging-coalition
The Molecular Imaging and Precision Medicine Lab has four Technology Research and Development (TR&D) projects that provide a platform on which new technology is developed and disseminated. The TR&Ds are complementary and integrated and extend from the development of reagents to detect and promote an immune reactive tumor microenvironment to the synthesis of nanodrones to treat cancer and combined small-molecule diagnostic and therapeutics (theranostic agents). We focus on generation of next-generation precision platforms, tools and techniques for tackling problems at the forefront of biomedical research with a focus on those that will lead to near-term translation.

Our research focuses on genetic epilepsy and will help us understand the roles of genes such as ASH1L and SLC13A5 through clinical patient studies and mouse models, advancing treatment options for these disorders and deepening the understanding of epilepsy.
Liu (Shixuan) Lab | UT Southwestern, Dallas, Texas
https://labs.utsouthwestern.edu/liu-shixuan-lab
The Liu Lab studies the seasonal clock and its roles in human health. We use a new seasonal primate model, the mouse lemur, and an interdisciplinary approach of molecular biology, genetics, omics, machine learning, and computational modeling. We also apply the mouse lemur primate model to study pathophysiology that is poorly represented in mice, with a focus on neurodegeneration, immunology, and metabolism.
