Our lab specializes in clinical and research informatics, with a diverse portfolio of projects that leverage electronic health record (EHR) data and multimodal research data to enhance clinical care and advance research in the neurosciences.

The Lee Lab is dedicated to leveraging human and molecular genetics to explore the complex interactions between cells and the surrounding extracellular matrix, with a particular focus on cardiovascular development and disease.

The primary aim of our research is to advance the understanding of chronic liver diseases, including metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), alcoholic liver disease (ASH), liver fibrosis/cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). By leveraging advanced 'omics' technologies, mouse genetics, and sophisticated pathohistological analyses, we strive to uncover the fundamental mechanisms behind the onset and progression of these diseases. Ultimately, our goal is to translate these insights into innovative therapeutic strategies to improve patient outcomes.
