 In prior work, my laboratory focused on identifying novel mechanisms of therapy-resistance and progression in breast, prostate and ovarian cancer. 

The research focus in the Corbin lab investigates strategies that exploits the deviant metabolism of cancer cells (namely the reprogramming of lipid metabolism and altered redox biology) for therapeutic purposes.

The Moreland and Potera Labs utilize basic science approaches, in vivo models, and clinical studies to investigate cellular functions of the innate immune system.

Dr. Coughlin's Brain Health Program research focuses on molecular neuroimaging techniques, particularly the use of novel radiotracers with positron emission tomography (PET). Her team aims to inform the molecular understanding of neuropsychiatric conditions, and identify novel, precision therapies guided by imaging results. 

Dr. Jane Foster, a leading expert in microbiota-immune biomarkers in neuroscience and psychiatry, was recruited and joined the Center for Depression Research and Clinical Care (CDRC) in May 2022. Dr. Foster’s molecular biology laboratory expands the current clinical research lab to include state-of-the-art equipment for genomic (DNA, RNA) and proteomic analysis of clinical biospecimens and tissue samples collected from mouse models. Dr. Foster also leads reverse translational work in mice to identify molecular mechanisms that connect the microbiome and the immune system to the brain.
