The Bowen Lab focuses on the development of tools for hybrid positron emission tomography (PET) (e.g. PET-CT and PET-MR), and complimentary modalities (e.g. CT), to advance precision imaging for the care and study of oncology, neurology, and cardiology patients.

In collaboration with Lucerno Dynamics LLC we are developing a classifier for radiotracer infiltration severity that utilizes radiation topical sensor measurements acquired during tracer injection.

We are actively developing high-performance attenuation correction strategies that utilize the PET signal alone.

The Bowen Lab is working in collaboration with Siemens Medical Solutions Inc. to assess the performance of a new PET scatter correction method that jointly estimates scatter with radiotracer uptake.
