"Defining Metabolic Features that Shape Melanoma Progression and Response" Speaker: Jennifer Gill, M.D., Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Dermatology UT Southwestern Medical Center About Jennifer Gill: Dr. Gill earned her medical degree and her doctoral degree in immunology through the Medical Scientist Training Program at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She then completed dermatology residency training at UT Southwestern. Her clinical and research focus centers on melanoma and advanced cutaneous malignancies. Her laboratory examines how cancer metabolism influences melanoma metastasis and disease behavior, with the goal of identifying new biomarkers and therapeutic strategies. Don’t miss an exciting afternoon of culture, community, and dance at the annual Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration Wednesday, May 27. This hybrid event will begin with a light lunch reception at 11:30 a.m. featuring a menu of Indian dishes. At noon, the ceremony will open with a Bollywood dance performance by Ethnique Performing Arts, followed by a keynote address by Anand Rohatgi, M.D., FAHA, FASPC, Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology and Program Director for Cardiovascular Disease Research Pathway and UTSW’s South Asian Heart Program.
