Widjaja Inflammatory Bowel Disease Institute Cedars-Sinai Medical Center About Phillip Gu: Dr. Gu holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. He earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern and completed internal medicine residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He then obtained advanced training through a gastroenterology fellowship at UT Southwestern, followed by an advanced fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at Cedars-Sinai. Dr. Gu’s clinical and research interests center on IBD, with a particular focus on Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, advanced imaging, and data‑driven risk stratification.
