Dr. Brown serves on several journal editorial boards and has been awarded numerous grants from NIH and private foundations. Team Science Grants are a unique opportunity providing support for individuals working together as a team to develop a funding proposal to submit for extramural support (NIH or equivalent). Applications are due by 5PM June 2, 2025 This seed money is meant to assist with preliminary data collection and team activities as you prepare your proposal for submission. The award provides up to $10,000 and includes sessions with our Team Science coach who will present and facilitate evidence-based practice for functional teams and successful collaboration methods throughout the award period. The Team Science Pilot Program application must include at least two Principal Investigators working together on a project they plan to collaborate on and submit together. Ideally, the PIs must be experts in different scientific disciplines who will collaborate to advance translational research. We are excited to offer this opportunity to support preliminary data in areas of high impact: Data Science, Clinical Care Process Improvement and Early Translational Research (DCT). Up to two $25K Awards with a 10 Month Award Period will be chosen based on merit and a focused project plan that can be achieved within the time frame. The CTSA Program at UT Southwestern will provide financial support for innovative clinical and translational research projects preferably in the one of three areas of focus: Data Science, Clinical Care Process Improvement and Early Translational Research.
