She earned her medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso and completed internal medicine residency training as well as a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at UT Southwestern. Dr. Kypreos joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021. Dr. Kypreos specializes in pulmonology with a subspecialty in interstitial lung disease. “Toward a Liquid Biopsy for Lupus Nephritis” Speaker: Andrea Fava, M.D. Associate Professor of Medicine Division of Rheumatology Director, Lupus Translational Research Johns Hopkins University About Andrea Fava: Dr. Fava received his medical degree from San Raffaele Medical School in Milan, Italy, and completed internal medicine residency training at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He then completed fellowship training in rheumatology and in lupus at Johns Hopkins University, followed by a visiting fellowship in computational biology at the Broad Institute. Dr. Fava's research is centered on systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), particularly lupus nephritis, with the goal of advancing precision medicine through the integration of immunology, genomics, proteomics, and clinical investigation.
