This live hybrid course (available for both in-person or virtual attendance) is designed to provide Esophageal/GI focused providers in interprofessional teams (Thoracic surgeons, general surgeons with esophageal/foregut interest, GI/GI surgeons, surgical oncologists, medical oncologists specializing in upper GI cancers, radiation oncologists, APPs, Nurses, or residents in thoracic or GI specialties) with a structured, high-quality educational experience that enhances clinical knowledge and technical skills in thoracic surgery. The course will also foster collaborative learning and strengthen interdisciplinary partnerships between internal thoracic specialists and external referring physicians and advanced practice providers. "Physical Inactivity: Is Exercise Enough?" Made possible by the Arthur Grollman Visiting Professorship in Experimental Medicine Speaker: Jacquelyn Kulinski, M.D. Professor of Medicine, Division of Cardiology Director, Preventive Cardiology Medical College of Wisconsin About Jacquelyn Kulinski: Dr. Kulinski earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle and then obtained advanced training through a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at UT Southwestern. She holds a certificate in clinical and translational science and has been an NIH-funded investigator since 2019. Much of Dr. Kulinski's research has focused on the role of diet and lifestyle behaviors in heart disease. She is interested in understanding mechanisms of how āsitting diseaseā contributes to cardiometabolic heath risk and the role of preeclampsia as a risk factor for future cardiovascular disease in women.
