PROVIDES Seminar Series Lecture title: Quantitative Dissection of RNA 3D Structural Ensembles that Regulate Viral Replication Steve L. Bonilla, Ph.D., Assistant Professor and Head of Lab, HHMI Freeman Hrabowski Scholar Steve L. Bonilla is an Assistant Professor at The Rockefeller University, where he leads the Laboratory of RNA Structural Biology and Biophysics. He is a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Freeman Hrabowski Scholar and Hanna H. Gray Fellow, and a faculty member of the Tri-Institutional PhD Program in Chemical Biology. The Bonilla lab investigates the fundamental principles that dictate RNA structural dynamics, and how RNA viruses exploit those dynamics to regulate their life cycles. She completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto and then completed a medical oncology fellowship and subspecialty training in neuro-oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School in Boston. Throughout her career, Dr. Maher has served as both a clinical doctor and a research scientist.
