This annual hybrid (in-person and live-streamed) CME course will translate major updates from The Liver Meeting 2026 and recent peer-reviewed literature into practical care pathways for clinicians who manage patients with liver disease. "Immune Resistance Mechanisms of Bacteria in the Aged Gut Microbiome" Speaker: James Colbert, M.D. Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases & Geographic Medicine UT Southwestern Medical Center About James Colbert: Dr. Colbert holds a bachelor's degree with a double major in biology and psychology from the University of Iowa, where he also obtained his medical degree. He then completed internal medicine residency training and a fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of Colorado. Prior to joining the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025, Dr. Colbert served on the faculty of the University of Colorado.
