Overview

In the Department of Radiology, our focus is on patient health. At the same time, an array of expanding facilities and programs, supported by excellent basic science and research programs, enables us to offer unique and varied learning opportunities to residents and fellows in Radiology.

Mission and Core Features

Our mission is to grow and sustain a world-class radiology department, characterized by its ability to translate innovations in imaging, information technologies, and image-guided therapies to optimize patient outcomes.

Throughout our patient care, research, and education functions, we are guided by a foundation of six core features of Radiology at UT Southwestern:

  • Intellectual vibrancy
  • Innovation
  • Iteration
  • Integrity
  • Inspiration
  • Impact

Patient imaging services are provided at clinics and hospitals on the UT Southwestern campus, as well as at the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center in southern Dallas. Each facility offers patients, as well as physicians, residents, fellows, and researchers, access to some of the most advanced imaging technology available.

At UT Southwestern, the Department of Radiology is instrumental in delivering the future of medicine, today.
