The Endowment Office, a component of the Office of the President, is responsible for overseeing and administratively monitoring all endowed funds that are established when donors make gifts to support in perpetuity specific, donor-designated programs at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

As directed by UT Southwestern President Daniel K. Podolsky, M.D., the Endowment Office carries out activities associated with endowed gifts such as stewardship and reporting; promoting compliance with endowment agreements, laws and institutional policies; effective use of resources; and updating the President on the status of endowed positions and programs, and tracking commitments and expenditures involving funds from endowment accounts.

In addition, the Endowment Office ensures that individuals authorized to make decisions about or approve expenses from endowment accounts participate in mandatory training sessions on a regular basis.

UT Southwestern is grateful for the endowment gifts it receives from generous donors and is fundamentally committed to being an excellent steward of this philanthropy.
