Lethargy

Endless hours of practice exam questions on the computer, coupled with a nagging guilt of not studying enough, led me to feel this way…

Blissfully lithe, seated supine
Blinking laconically at the bright haze
The computer flickers, the eyes blink
But nothing filters through the mind's maze.

A labyrinthine deposit
of filth so rotten, that the mind's numbness
Beguiles the owner's indolence.

Lethargy, how you envelop me!
Leave me to my work, my duties
My chain and lock and key.
Do not imprison me
For I am already imprisoned within.
