Tumor Suppressor in Liver Cancer
An NCI-funded postdoctoral position focused on studying the role of retinoblastoma tumor suppressor (RB) in hepatocellular carcinoma is available. Specific emphasis is on the role of RB loss in disease etiology, progression, and therapeutic response. This work will incorporate the use of cell culture, animal models, and clinical specimens to fully define how tumor suppressor loss contributes to liver cancer and could serve as a basis for novel therapeutic interventions.
Ideal candidates will have experience with cancer research and have a track record of leading projects to publication. Postdoctoral fellows will be expected to direct the project in a multi-disciplinary setting, assist in mentoring junior lab members, and contribute to the overall laboratory environment.
