About the University Police Department

Officer in crosswalk at UT Southwestern.
The UT Southwestern Medical Center Police Department employs both commissioned and non-commissioned personnel who are available around the clock to serve the community. Our commissioned personnel are peace officers and are certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).

Our offices are located in the Campus Police Station - BE Building, 6010 Forest Park, Suite 100, on the North campus. The public entrance is located via the glass entrance closest to Forest Park. UPD’s lobby is open to the UT Southwestern community 24 hours a day, seven days a week for walk-up reports, requests for police/security assistance, and noncriminal fingerprinting services.
