UT Southwestern serves a very diverse population throughout North Texas, and the institution aims to attract a campus community that reflects that diversity.

The Office of Institutional Equity & Access announces the addition of the Women and Allies Business Resource Group to continue advancements in diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement. Business Resource Groups (BRGs) serve to provide a source of support for fellow colleagues, foster career development, and promote cultural sensitivity in the workplace.

"We are so excited to launch this new BRG which will serve as an advancement platform for diverse talent, while also increasing cultural competence and sensitivity to impact patient care and workplace inclusion for women," said Lauren Schumacher, Pulmonary and Critical Care Research Coordinator and the new BRG's Chair. "This new community will provide professional development trainings, speaking opportunities, mentoring programs, networking opportunities, and more."
